Regarding deducting GST amount while returning medicines

Dear Advocates,

I bought some medicine (say X) on 25.06.2025. I went to return it back after 10 days, say on 05.07.2025. The shop keeper took the medicines back, but he deducted the GST amount under the pretext that as month has changes, they have already filled the GST and hence they cannot return the GST amount. Is he justified or should I fight?

Yes. GST has to be paid on monthly basis. To be precise latest by the 20th of the month. So need to check other aspects too. But might be a little amount, so you may end up paying more fees for an Advocate.
