Public Information officer not accepting Indian Postal Order (IPO) as RTI fess
#1
Respected Sir/Madam,

I have filled an RTI with the Society Registrar at Ahmedabad. I have attached Indian postal order as RTI fees. But they are refusing to provide information saying that RTI fees by IPO is not acceptable. Can you please provide me the copy of the rules which state that RTI fees can be paid by Indian Postal Order (IPO).

Best Regards

Vaibhav Patel.

PIO is misguiding you. As per the OM issued by Department of Personal and Training, IPO is a valid mode of payment. Please find the circular enclosed in the below link.
