Is compulsory to deduct PF of all employees?

I run a small company with only 3 employees. Someone told me that it is compulsory to deduct PF otherwise it may create problem in future.

No. It is not compulsory to deduct PF for establishments having less than 20 employees. Still you can deduct it, if you want.
